All About Fashion: 05/22/11

These are some of my favourite images. Gian Carlo Drueco is another photographer that I came across when 'Googling' images on the internet. These images are from his portfolio and I feel that they are relevant to the type of work I wish to produce. I am confident that I could produce something like this myself and I feel that these images are also relevant to the style of images I wish to create. Beauty images are my favourite and by introducing a softer approach to this, as well as a harsh one, it will create a contrast within my work.

I came across these images when browsing through Google Images. This is something that I do often, looking at random images on the Internet. I have a strong interest in fashion photography and I feel that these images optimise this. Kadel's work is very interesting, although there is nothing overly unique about his images, the way they have been produced and the way they have been constructed is something that I find very interesting myself. His fashion images are very strong, and I feel that this is also because of the styling that has been produced for these images.

These images are my favourite, I have a strong interest in beauty photography, and although I have not done any images in black and white (because I feel that are not as affective as colour images) I would like to try some like this. I feel that beauty images do not have to be bright and colourful, they can also be subtle and soft too. I feel that they should reflect beauty... in all forms. I love these images below, they remind me of a lot of the beauty images that I have referenced in the past.

I adore how close the images are, and you are able to see the details in their skin and the reflections in their eyes. This is one of the main reasons why I love beauty photography and why I will be focusing on this throughout my work.
